Orphan: First Kill is a 2022 American horror film prequel to Orphan (2009) and stars a de-aged Isabelle Fuhrman as psychotic Esther.

Directed by William Brent Bell (Separation; The Boy and Brahms: The Boy II; Wer; The Devil Inside) from a screenplay written by David Coggeshall (The Haunting in Connecticut), based on a storyline by David Leslie Johnson-McGoldrick (Aquaman; The Conjuring 2 and 3) and co-producer Alex Mace.

Also produced by Hal Sadoff, Ethan Erwin, James Tomlinson, and executive produced by Jen Gorton, Josie Liang, Victor Moyers, Kyle Irving, David Leslie Johnson-McGoldrick, Daryl Katz, Chloe Katz and Paul Marcaccio.

Plot:
After orchestrating a brilliant escape from an Estonian psychiatric facility, Esther travels to America by impersonating the missing daughter of a wealthy family. Yet, an unexpected twist arises that pits her against a mother who will protect her family from the murderous “child” at any cost…

Release:
In the USA, Orphan: First Kill will be released theatrically in select locations, streaming on Paramount+ and On-Digital on August 19, 2022. In the UK, Signature Entertainment will release Orphan: First Kill exclusively in cinemas nationwide on the same day.
